UHT is expanding, and we are happy to welcome Tommy Jonsson to our team.
As our new sales manager for the business area GRANSHOT metal granulation, Tommy will strengthen the sales process and manage the increasing interest in GRANSHOT.
Tommy started his career at Outokumpu Copper and has since gained extensive experience in sales directed to the steel and metal industries. Before joining UHT, he worked with sales of electromagnetic stirrers and brakes at ABB, responsible for the markets in Europe and Turkey.
– I have always enjoyed working with sales. I like the whole process, meeting new people and establishing new intercultural contacts, Tommy says.
He grew up in the region Hälsingland in what Swedes sometimes casually refer to as Norrland, the Northland, but as he points out, Hälsingland is geographically in the middle of Sweden. He still has strong ties to the region and spends a lot of spare time in the family’s cabin there, where he enjoys hunting and the outdoors together with his wife and his three daughters.
Tommy now looks forward to continuing his sales journey at UHT, and the opportunity to work in a smaller and more flexible organisation. Another aspect that Tommy mentions, is the area of metal granulation itself.

GRANSHOT is a high-capacity water granulation process that instantly transforms liquid metal into solid granules. The operational cost is reduced, and material yields are increased by eliminating traditional casting, crushing, and sieving steps. The final granulated product is ideal for use in metals processing raw material handling systems.
