UHT delivers CLU® converter refining of FeMn to Mengfa, China
UHT is currently delivering a 25 tonnes CLU© converter to Inner Mongolia Chayouqianqi Mengfa Ferroalloys 
Co, Ltd in Inner Mongolia, China.
The CLU® converter will be used to refine HC FeMn into MC and LC FeMn products. Start-up of production will be end of 2013. The deliveries from UHT include the rugged hydraulic converter tilting solution, UTCAS® process control and state of the art gas mixing station.
In UHT’s CLU® converter refining process; superheated steam is used as an additional process gas to substitute argon and cooling scrap while also ensuring effective temperature management to boost metal yield and to increase refractory life time.
