SNNC FeNi GRANSHOT® in operation
The SNNC (Société Nickel de Nouvelle Calédonie et Corée) FeNi granulation plant in Korea has successfully been hot commissioned during October 2008.
The plant is built in Gwangyang next to POSCO’s site and will supply FeNi to the POSCO group with a planned production capacity of 120.000 tonnes of FeNi per year.
The GRANSHOT® granulation plant is designed for a granulation capacity of 2 tonnes/min granulating batches of 60 tonnes of FeNi per batch. The first melt was granulated October 20th and the granulation plant is now running at full capacity. Approximately 2000 tonnes of FeNi was granulated the first two weeks of production.
