“No two days are the same, something I really enjoy!”

Could you describe your role here at UHT? What does an ordinary day look like?

I coordinate the workflow in our workshop in Hagfors which involves deliveries, control of goods, pre-assembly of equipment, welding projects, and administration. My job varies a lot from day to day, but I would say that a normal workday consists of 50-60% administrational tasks and then being out in the workshop packing equipment, controlling goods, and preparing for shipments. No two days are the same in the workshop, and that it is what I most enjoy about my work!

Why did you decide to join UHT?

I did my bachelor’s thesis in material science at UHT and evaluated test granulation of ferromanganese. I got along well with the people who work here, and I thought that UHT was an interesting company. When I had finished my degree I was offered a job and that is how I ended up here!

What drives and motivates you in your work?

Working at a world-leading company in our niche is very motivating – to be part of the team that ensures the company stays ahead. Being new in this role, I find it exciting with all new challenges! I like being a bit on my toes and able to tackle new issues every day, whether it is coordinating welders or large scale shipments that need to be managed.

I am curious about new markets and a driving force for me is that UHT always is developing as a company. On a personal level I feel that the company encourages self-development, which is something that truly motivates me in my work.

What’s next – do you have any exciting projects?

This is the first time as Equipment and Installation Manager I will be part of a large-scale project from scratch, and I am really looking forward to making my mark on the outcome and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
