The growing number of net-zero CO2 initiatives mark a new era for iron and steel production. UHT is proud to be part of the Hy4smelt initiative, a collaboration involving voestalpine AG, Primetals Technologies, Rio Tinto, and K1-MET GmbH.
The project combines steelmaking, engineering, and mining with the mission to produce green iron and steel, where UHT’s GRANSHOT process plays a key role in producing stable, transportable iron feedstock that literally creates a solid link between the green ironmaking and steel production.
