Welcome Lars
We welcome Lars Björn to UHT! Lars is working as Commissioning Technician and will strengthen the project team during commissioning and pilot plant granulations.
Lars Björn joined UHT a few months ago as Commissioning Technician and has already had the opportunity to make site visits to both customers and suppliers overseas.
– I have already made a few trips to India, Brazil and Lithuania together with my colleague Andreas Persson. Together with Andreas, I’ve had the chance to get a deeper understanding of the granulation equipment and the GRANSHOT process.
Lars has a long background both as a mechanic and team leader. He has worked in various mechanical workshops and has also previous experience with metal powder manufacturing.
– Although everything is new and very interesting, I feel at home with the mechanics, and I get good guidance from my colleagues. I really appreciate working in projects and close to the design team where I can contribute with ideas and suggestions.
Besides making site visits, Lars has also taken part in a test granulation at UHT:s pilot plant in Hagfors. UHT offers test granulations for customers looking to evaluate the GRANSHOT process for their specific metal.
– It was a great experience to get a proper introduction to the process and to get a closer understanding of the equipment. We were also able to get immediate feedback from the customers who were happy with the result.
Born and raised in Hagfors, Lars now lives in the small village of Ekshärad northwest of Hagfors where he enjoys spending time outdoors with his three boys – a 16-yearold and his 12-yearold twins.
– During the summers, we usually go to our cabin by one of the many lakes surrounding Hagfors. We do many outdoor activities like going on boat trips and riding water scooters. I’m one of those guys who likes to be out in nature regardless of the season, Lars says with a smile.
