Welcome Danilo Fraschini!

We are delighted to announce that Danilo Fraschini is joining us as Head of Sales for Steelworks. With Danilo’s extensive experience in the steel industry, he will strengthen our sales team and manage the increasing interest in UHT’s steelwork and melt shop solutions. 

Danilo started his career at Danieli, Italy, where he gained in-depth knowledge of steelmaking technology and participated in many plant start-ups in the USA and China, focusing on primary and secondary metallurgy, as well as continuous casting. During his time at Danieli, he also spent some years in their branch office in Västerås, Sweden. After 13 years at Danieli, he continued his career as Senior Sales Manager for SiemensVAI/Primetals, Germany, where he stayed for nearly a decade. 

– The years I spent at Danieli and Siemens VAI/Primetals gave me the possibility to grow both professionally and personally. I participated in projects of international importance, and I expanded my knowledge in many aspects such as international organization, internal communication, and industrial marketing, Danilo explains. 

He grew up in the south of Italy and developed a keen interest in ancient Greek, Latin, renaissance art, and German philosophy as a young man. Contrary to the rest of his family who also shares his interest in the humanities, Danilo decided to study chemical engineering. He had his first experience in Sweden as an exchange student at the Chemistry department at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, and has many fond memories of Sweden ever since, something that he is now able to share with his wife and son who are used to travelling around Europe.
