Welcome Farhad

We are happy to announce that Farhad Tregulov just recently joined UHT and will strengthen our Projects & Design team as design engineer.

It becomes clear from the beginning of our conversation that Farhad Tregulov is passionate about mechanical design and engineering. When choosing specialization for his master’s degree at Linköping University, he made the unusual choice to pursue two focus areas – both solid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics.

– I had a look at the schedules and realised that with some time management I would be able to squeeze in the courses from both areas.

When writing his master’s thesis however, he chose to focus on solid mechanics through a project at Swerim that involved replicating a high temperature deformation simulator using a finite element software based on their inhouse testing facilities.

– It was a great learning experience that involved both a lot of programming and manual labour to decrease the computational time of the finite element model using mass scaling, Farhad says.

Before joining UHT, Farhad was a trainee at Nynas where he worked on CAD design of piping system. At UHT, he has moved towards more complex mechanical engineering challenges.

– It’s going well, I do a lot of CAD work and FEM calculations. It’s rewarding to be able to apply what I learned during my master’s degree to the different projects!

Besides spending time with his girlfriend and family, Farhad’s main passion is powerlifting. And this is where his time management skills really come in handy again:

– I had to learn how to structure my time at the university and get into rather strict routines so that I could focus on my training. It was hard in the beginning, but now I am glad that I fought my way through it. I think that I really can benefit from that experience both for work and in my personal life, Farhad concludes.
